School Board and School Budget Elections throughout Westchester: Tuesday, May 19, 2026

Voter Registration
Thursday, May 14, 2026: Last day to register to vote.

The voter registration form is also used to:
- Change your name or address on your voter registration
- Become a member of a political party
- Change your party membership (Please note: An application to change one’s party enrollment for the primary election in any year must be received by the board of elections no later than February 14th of that year. Party changes received on or after February 15th, will be placed on hold until seven days after the June Primary.)
- Pre-register to vote if you are 16 or 17 years of age
Early Mail and Absentee Ballot Information
Tuesday, May 12, 2026 (7 days before the election): Last day for the school district to receive a completed early mail or absentee ballot application if the voter requests that the absentee ballot be sent to the voter via mail.
Monday, May 18, 2026 (one day before the election): Last day to apply in person to apply for an early mail or absentee ballot.
Tuesday, May 19, 2026 (Election Day): Last day for the district clerk to receive a completed early mail or absentee ballot.
Qualifications to Vote by Early Mail Ballot
Any registered voter may apply for an early mail ballot. Making a false statement in an application for an early mail ballot, attempting to cast an illegal ballot, and helping anyone cast an illegal ballot are felonies.
Qualifications to Vote by Absentee Ballot
- Absent from your county on Election Day.
- Unable to appear at the polls due to temporary or permanent illness or disability.
- Unable to appear because you are the primary care giver of one or more individuals who are ill or physically disabled.
- A resident or patient of a Veterans Health Administration Hospital.
- Detained in jail awaiting Grand Jury action or confined in prison after conviction for an offense other than a felony.
In Person Voting
Tuesday, May 19, 2026: In person voting only at your assigned polling location.
