DESCRIPTION:Meet other local league members within Westchester County\, hear what LWVW has accomplished this past year\, learn what is on the horizon for 2024-25\, vote on the program and budget for next year\, install the incoming leadership team\, and enjoy the speaker and buffet supper. See below for the Convention Agenda. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFeatured Speaker: Sasha Neha Ahuja\, Campaign Director for New Yorkers for Equal Rights*Topic: New York Equal Rights Amendment Kicks into Higher Gear \n\n\n\n*Sasha Neha Ahuja is an organizer and advocate who has run local and national electoral and issue campaigns. She currently serves as Campaign Director for New Yorkers for Equal Rights\, a Ballot Initiative Committee that will engage voters across New York State to affirm their support for a comprehensive Equal Rights Amendment that will appear on the ballot in New York in November 2024. Ahuja most recently served as National Director of Strategic Partnerships at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood Action Fund\, where she steered much of the local and national response to the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision\, ensuring that communities most directly impacted by abortion bans were centered in the national response. She has had a long history of work in New York and national racial and gender justice organizations. \n\n\n\nWe welcome audience questions.
